And that's a wrap for our leaf raking in 2022! We raked over 1000 bags (which is 400 up from last year), and raised almost $ 3 000 for the our U13 and U11 teams. In spite of the picture above ... the kids actually worked really hard.
It was really good to get out and amongst a lot of really cool people, and also help those who are a little 'older' and a little 'less mobile' than the rest of us. Key highlights were talking to one of the very first British Commandos from World War II who now lives a quiet life in Tillsonburg (and has a yard that is free from leaves!) Everyone was lovely, and really supportive.
The 'post-leaf raking pizza' didn't last very long as well ... and all this in spite of some weather which decided to make this year's leaves really wet and heavy.
Looking forward to an even bigger haul in 2023!
